Fishing Report for August 16, 2010
CRAPPIE- * Mosquito Lake now has a limit on Crappie* 9 inches 30 bag limit* Under the bridge using white twister tails and jigs, or a worm right off the bottom is working too! Causeway catches are best in the evening and after dark.
PERCH- Jigs tipped with maggots right off the bottom.
WALLEYE- Out in boats using spinners and worm harnesses on the north side. Also using crank baits black and silver and yellow perch. Deeper water proves to be best.
BLUEGILL- Redworms and jig heads under the bridge has been the best area.
BASS- Leeches or spinner baits in the weedbeds hearing most from the south west side of the lake.
CATFISH- EVERYWHERE!!! using crawlers or Nitro worms off the bottom. Bigger cats have been brought in from up north and by the crane area just past the cemetary.
CARP- Catching them just like catfish, everywhere on minnows or crawlers.
